TOXIC Fitted T-Shirts

(It's not hate. It's a mirror.)

They call you “brother”, “sister”, “family”.
We smile at you, we surround you, we lift you up...
But only as long as you serve.
As long as you give. As long as you feed.

Then comes the moment when you slow down.
You doubt. You distance yourself.
And then, it's no longer support that we're offering you.
It's silence.
Or worse: the circle closing.
We deliver you as a subject.
We cut you out in low voices.
We're analyzing you.
And we call that “talking.”

You thought they loved you.
But what they loved was your energy .
Your generosity. Your light. Your attention.

They never looked at you for who you are.
Just for what you brought to them.

And you find yourself there, picking up the pieces,
while they share your fall, sniggering.
But be careful: they will continue to call it “loyalty.”

The truth hurts. Especially when it's aimed at you.

It's not hate.
This is not harassment.
This is not gratuitous violence.
This is the naked truth , the one that is not made up to please.
The one that scratches, that exposes, that disturbs.

And if you feel targeted, it's maybe because you are.
Because by wanting to play innocent too much,
You ended up believing that your injuries excused your actions.
But that's not the case.
